Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Internal HGV Shunter for our client based in Newhouse . This role is essential in ensuring the smooth and efficient movement of vehicles within our facility.
Start times.
0600/0700
Monday to Friday
no HGV licence is required for this role.
Duties
Safely manoeuvre HGVs within the yard, ensuring proper positioning for loading and unloading.
Conduct regular inspections of vehicles to ensure they are in good working condition.
Collaborate with warehouse staff to coordinate the timely movement of goods.
Maintain accurate records of vehicle movements and report any discrepancies.
Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures while operating vehicles on-site.
Assist in maintaining a clean and organized yard environment.
Experience
Previous experience as A shunter is preferred, however not essential
Familiarity with vehicle inspection processes and maintenance checks.
Strong understanding of health and safety regulations related to vehicle operations.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
