We are recruiting for a Graduate Accountant to join our client's accounts team, to assist in maintaining
company accounts, preparation of financial statements and internal and external financial audits.
Job responsibilities:
• Assist with month-end and year-end accounting processes.
• Prepare and post journals, including accruals, prepayments and other adjustments.
• Assist with preparation of monthly management accounts and financial reports.
• Support accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
• Reconcile bank accounts, balance sheet accounts and general ledger accounts.
• Support the analysis of material, labour and overhead costs.
• Assist with production costings and review manufacturing variances.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting and cash-flow reporting.
• Assist with reviewing expenses, payroll records etc as assigned.
• Assist with VAT/tax reporting and other statutory requirements.
• Preparation of data for internal and external account audits.
• Undertake ad-hoc financial analysis and projects as required.
Essential Criteria:
• BSc Degree in Accounting, Finance or relevant discipline.
• Good knowledge of fundamental accounting principles.
• Highly numerate with strong attention to detail.
• Excellent knowledge of MS Office, experience with ERP/accounting systems is advantageous.
• Organised and able to manage competing priorities.
Desirable Criteria:
• Knowledge and understanding of achieving targets.
• Previous finance experience, including an internship or placement.
• Exposure to an ERP or manufacturing accounting system.
• Understanding of management accounting, costing or inventory accounting.
