Job description:

Sure Recruitment are seeking reliable and skilled 7.5 Tonne Drivers to join our clients team in Springburn. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to safety and excellent driving skills, with experience in commercial driving and delivery operations. This role involves transporting goods efficiently while ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.

Please note the client operates a 24 hour operation.

This is a temporary role but the pay rates are very competitive and holiday pay will also be accrued.

Duties

• Delivery of goods adhering to ETAs

• Conduct pre-journey vehicle checks to ensure the lorry is roadworthy and safe for operation

• Maintain accurate delivery records and complete necessary paperwork.

• Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving, promoting safety on the roads.

• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential issues.

• Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries, representing the company positively.

Qualifications

• Valid UK driving licence with the appropriate category for 7.5 tonne vehicles (minimum Cat C1).

• Previous experience as a delivery driver or in a similar commercial driving role is required.

• Strong understanding of road safety regulations and best practices in driving.

• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail when handling deliveries.
