Transport Planner

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our client as a Transport Planner. As a Transport Planner, you will be responsible for coordinating and optimizing transportation routes to ensure efficient delivery of goods. This is a key role in our logistics department, and we are looking for someone who can effectively manage transportation operations and provide excellent customer service.

Responsibilities:

• – Plan and schedule transportation routes to optimize efficiency and minimize costs
• – Coordinate with drivers, warehouse staff, and customers to ensure timely delivery of goods
• – Monitor transportation activities to identify any issues or delays and take appropriate actions to resolve them
• – Utilize transportation management software to track shipments and maintain accurate records
• – Communicate with internal teams and external stakeholders to provide updates on delivery status
• – Collaborate with the procurement team to ensure availability of resources for transportation operations
• – Continuously evaluate and improve transportation processes to enhance efficiency and customer satisfaction

Essentials

• – Strong computer literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
• – Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• – Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and prioritize workload
• – Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• – Customer service mindset with the ability to build positive relationships with stakeholders
• – Leadership skills to effectively coordinate transportation operations
• – Previous experience in transport planning or logistics is preferred.
